I experienced no problems at all. The 300lb saw rolls easily on the concrete floor. PortaMate HTC1000 - 400 Pound Capacity Universal Mobile BaseThe base was very easy to assemble and went together exactly as expected. The base resides under a Jet table saw and fits the 21" X 25" stand perfectly. I have an old jointer for which I'll probably buy a stand as well. Time from opening the box to sliding the completed base under the saw took less than an hour. Other reviewers reported problems with misaligned holes and having to re-drill some holes.
My table saw is much more manageable with it. The shipment arrived quickly, undamaged, and at the right price. The base is easy to assemble and works like a charm.
Overall a good product but the leveling leaves something to be desired.I put it under a table saw and the saw is at an angle when the wheels areraised for sawing.
Does exactly what it says it will.I have a 275lb Jet jointer gluiding around like an office chair now.The directions/diagram could be greatly improved.I would rate those poor. But once you look the parts over it will make sense.after all,it's not a Rubik's cube by any means. So I would not let that point stop you from buying one.And the bottom line is it's the best price going for that weight class. But that may a negative point as well.I would buy another when needed without hesitation. But as far as the quality to price ratio goes.I would be curious to see how long the wheel bearings last if you move it around frequently over the next 5 years. So I will lubricate mine yearly.
The wheels don't retract as much as other mobile bases so if the caster is not in the right position, the base will still roll even if the levers are disengaged. Their CS was pretty good and received the parts within a week. The base itself is OK. There are way better products out there, however the HTC1000 does do what it says it does. The HTC1000 mobile base kit I got was missing parts and the instruction manual. I had to get on the HTC website to figure out what parts I was missing.
